Annandale Artist Residency is the passion project of the Shevlen Family, working in tandem with artist Jenna Faye Powell. Located on the Atlantic Ocean, in Annandale, Prince Edward Island, Annandale Artist Residency (AAR) is housed in a restored historic home, facilitating three or four visiting artists at a time. AAR hosts artists only during June, July and August annually.

Since 2020, we’ve been working with esteemed artists, curators, and administrators to identify gaps in opportunities and representation in the Canadian art community —  and, to shape the residency to reflect current needs and trends. With this in mind, Annandale Artist Residency offers mid-career artists the time, resources, and space necessary to cultivate new art and ideas through month-long, self-directed residency stays, free of entrance fees.
